The policy is only "contentious" to people who do not care about human rights or international law. I only wish my own pension scheme (USS) would make ethical investment decisions like this one. Mr. Borgdorff seems to be rather naive in being swayed by the noise made by the pro-Israel lobby - which is MUCH larger and better funded than any of the NGOs named here as being "pro-Palestine", i.e. pro-human rights and against illegal occupation, internment without trial, torture and collective punishment of civilians, which are all currently being practised by the Israeli government.
