EUROPE – Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has appointed Corrado Amari, 54, as head of southern Europe.

Based in London and reporting directly to managing director international Chris Walker, Corrado will be responsible for building SWIP's presence in the region with a specific focus on partnership opportunities with banks and other financial institutions.

Corrado has considerable international banking experience at a senior level in the region, including the Banca di Roma and Banca Nazionale del Lavoro in Italy, Spain and Luxembourg, SWIP said in a statement.
