UK – Edinburgh based Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has completed the restructuring of its senior management team by hiring Susan Ebenston as chief operating officer.
Ebenston will work alongside Fiach Maguire, director of global marketing and Sandy Nairn, chief investment officer.
“Susan’s appointment follows significant changes to the structure of operations, including the transfer of investment administration responsibilities to the partnership at the beginning of this year,” says Bill Main, chief executive officer of SWIP.
Ebenston joins from State Street Bank & Trust Company, where she spent three years in Australia and the UK.
She was chief operating officer of State Street’s Australian business and director of business strategy in its London office.
Ebenston was also involved in the establishment of an agreement between State Street and Scottish Widows Group last year, in which all investment administration functions for the active fund range of the UK company was outsourced to the US firm.
