Threadneedle Investments, part of Zurich Financial Services Group, has been awarded a e32m UK equity mandate on behalf of Dupont SA.
Threadneedle won the mandate through a beauty parade which included six candidates. The firm best suited the requirements needed, according to Gerry Flynn, pensions manager at Dupont SA.
Dupont SA, a joint venture between du Pont de Nemours and Sabanci SA, is a new pension scheme. Flynn adds that Mercer was the investment adviser.
Following a quiet first quarter, Threadneedle said it is now seeing a surge in new business and has secured more than £750m of a wide range of defined benefit and defined contribution schemes so far this year. Threadneedle manages over £45bn in equity, fixed interest and property investments.
