EUROPE – AXA Rosenberg has promoted marketing head Simon Vanstone to European chief executive, replacing Will Jump who is returning to the firm’s US headquarters.

Vanstone joined the firm, part of French insurer AXA, in 2002. He will work alongside London-based chief investment officer Agustin Sevilla and new chief operating officer Pascale Demont.

Jump will remain a board member of the unit but will return to California as head of technology and production. Jump became CEO in 2002, after the resignation of Richard Worts.

"We have established a very successful franchise in Europe by remaining true to our strategy to deliver a specialist global equity management capability," said AXA Rosenberg
Group CEO Stephane Prunet.

"Simon's experience with AXA Rosenberg combined with his industry expertise makes him the perfect candidate to lead us through the next stage of growth and expansion for our European operations.”

Vanstone said he would be able to make a “seamless transition” to his new role. He formerly worked for State
Street Global Advisors and Hill Samuel Investment Management.
