EUROPE – PIMCO has launched eight new specialist pooled fixed income funds aimed at institutional investors across Europe.

Following strong demand from European investors, eight new funds are being added to PIMCO’s Global Investors Series funds, including one UK fund, three Euro funds, two US funds and two global funds.

“The UK CorePLUS Fund, PIMCO’s first pooled fund denominated in sterling, responds to the requirements of the UK pensions industry, whereas the inflation protected Global Real Return Fund appeals to the private banking and offshore community,” says PIMCO.

The Euro based offering is also expanding to meet market demands across Europe.

Portfolio managers based in London and Newport Beach will run the new funds.

PIMCO, or Pacific Investment Management Co., is the fixed income platform of the Allianz Dresdner Asset Management group, and is responsible for more than 304 billion dollars globally.
