UK – The managing director of Aon Consulting, Maurice Dyson, is to leave at the end of this month and be replaced by Robert Middleton.

Aon said in a statement that Middleton would take over from Dyson as managing director of the consulting business on January 31.

Middleton was previously managing director of Aon Consulting’s commercial division, responsible for client management, new business and marketing in the UK. He joined Aon in 1996.

He will report to Aon Consulting’s chairman and chief executive Ron Amy.

A spokeswoman said that Dyson, who ran the consulting business for five years, would leave the company. She was unable to say where he would go but added that his tenure of the role had always been planned for five years.

“I am looking forward to taking up my new role and driving forward the further development of Aon Consulting’s position as a leading provider of integrated employee benefits and HR services,” Middleton said.

“The changing demand in our markets offers Aon Consulting some exciting opportunities.”

Aon Consulting recently bought KPMG Actuaries in Belgium for an undisclosed sum.
