EUROPE – Brian Waite, deputy head of the international benefits practice at Aon Consulting, has left after five years to join Mercer Human Resource Consulting.

Waite’s departure follows that of Ruud Kistemaker, Aon’s manager of international benefits for continental Europe, who has joined Roche (see separate story). Kistemaker was replaced by Theo Lutgendorff.

Mercer said Waite has been appointed a European principal within its international consulting business.

“Based in London, his role will involve working with a range of UK and European multinationals, focusing on global pensions accounting and expatriate retirement benefits,” Mercer said.

Waite is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has a degree in economics and statistics from Exeter University.

“We don't have any comment to make on this, other than to say that he felt that the time was right for him to move on and we wish him all the best for the future,” an Aon spokeswoman said.
