SWEDEN - The five billion-euro Sjunde AP-fonden, the seventh Swedish national pension fund, has hired ABN Amro’s Fvante Linder as head of fund management.

Before joining, Linder was head of department, administration area at ABN Amro.

Linder took over last month from Peter Dahlgren, who left AP7 to join insurer Skandia Liv.

He said that AP7 had invested 80% of its portfolio in Swedish and global equities, 10% in Swedish and global bonds, five percent in hedge funds and an equal amount in private equity.

The Swedish government recently said it would review the “mutual independence” of the AP buffer funds after the funds showed less risk diversification than expected.

Finance minister Bosse Ringholm is meeting four opposition parties to discuss using the equivalent of 17% of the AP funds' assets for disability payments.
