UK – AXA Sun Life, the UK life and pensions arm of the AXA group, has appointed Paul Evans as chief executive, following the departure of Andy Haste.

Haste left the company at the beginning of April to take up the position as chief executive for Royal & Sun Alliance.

Evans has been with the AXA group for many years. Prior to his new role, he was group finance director of AXA UK, the parent company of AXA Sun Life, AXA Insurance, AXA PPP healthcare and AXA Ireland. He was responsible for finance, strategy, treasury and investment management.

An announcement will be made shortly as to Evans’ replacement as group finance director for AXA UK.

AXA Sun Life is the fifth largest company in the life and pensions industry in the UK.
