UK – Baring Asset Management (BAM) has put together a guide on investment management for pension trustees that seeks to cut through the jargon of the asset management world.

The report, entitled: “A Trustees Guide to Investment Management,” is available free of charge on BAM’s website: www.baring-asset.com, and has been approved by the Plain English Campaign.

Chrissie Maher, founder director of the Plain English Campaign, comments: “This guide shows what a difference plain English can make. There is no easy way of simplifying the complex world of investment management. But by writing with the intended reader in mind Baring’s have simplified the way they explain what happens to a trust’s money.”

Richard Graham, head of institutional marketing at BAM, adds: “As the Myners report made clear, the responsibilities of trustees have greatly expanded and they are required to keep abreast of more issues than ever before. This is our contribution to helping trustees through the forest of investment jargon.”
