SWITZERLAND - Brown Brothers Harriman says it has named Daniel Genoud as managing director of its Zurich office – taking over from Nicolas Wyss and Rolf Scheidegger who are both retiring.

The privately owned US bank said Genoud joins from State Street Bank & Trust Co. in Zurich where he was chief operations officer and senior relationship manager for Swiss clients.

"We're pleased to have Daniel join BBH and step into this crucial role," said BBH partner Andrew Tucker.

"With the retirement of both Nicolas and Rolf there is no question he has big shoes to fill but Daniel's extensive industry experience and expertise in managing every aspect of the custody business from operations to client relationships will help us manage the transition with every confidence."

Wyss and Scheidegger will remain on the board at Brown Brothers Harriman Service AG, Zurich.

"BBH is renowned on a global scale for providing clients with an unparalleled level of service," said Genoud. "I look forward to assisting the team in enhancing the firm's presence in the Swiss market and driving our custody business forward."
