BELGIUM – William Van Impe, the general manager of the e3.5bn Brussels-based Belgacom pension funds is to leave the firm at the end of the month to take up a new position within the Fortis insurance group.

Van Impe’s new role at Fortis will incorporate responsibility for the management of the group assets in the firm’s Brussels office.

He says he announced his decision to Belgacom about 2 weeks ago and will take up his new position on November 1.
