UK - The £1.4bn (€2.1bn) Berkshire pension fund has chosen Barnett Waddingham as its new actuary.

The firm has replaced Hymans & Robertson after re-tendering the mandate at the end of the original contract term.

Berkshire pension fund, the fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead local government workers, is also now looking for a specialist Asia-Pacific (including Japan) manager.

This £80m mandate is currently held by Schroders but the participation deadline ended in January, so the fund is hoping to appoint a manager in July.
