NETHERLANDS – Blue Sky Group, which manages the pension assets of airline KLM, has hired a former official of the Dutch State Treasury Agency.

Bruus-Jan Willemsen joined Blue Sky's investment team on August 1 as a fixed income and currency fund manager. Willemsen was previously at the DSTA, where he was responsible for the issuance of Dutch government bonds.

He takes over from Gerben Wanningen, who left at the start of the year.

Earlier this year Blue Sky named Toine van der Stee as its new managing director, effective August 1. Van der Stee would take over from Han Thoman who is set to retire on September 1. Van der Stee had previously worked at the Dutch Ministry of Finance.
