Borland to leave Hymans Robertson
UK - Russell Borland, managing partner at Hymans Robertson, is stepping down from his role and retiring from the firm for health reasons, the consultancy has announced.
Borland has worked at Hymans Robertson for almost 20 years, having joined the firm in 1990 as invesment consultant, and has led the management team in its running of the company since 2001.
A replacement will be appointed in due course, say officials, though he is likely to be associated with the company for "some years in the future and will stay on until March 2010, to assist the transition.
Commenting on his departure Ronnie Bowie, Senior Partner at Hymans Robertson said, "We are very sorry to be losing Russell. His commitment, friendly approach and sharp brain have shaped both the culture of Hymans Robertson and the advice we offer to clients. His foresight has greatly benefitted the firm. He leaves a wonderful legacy for the future of our business and we wish him only the very best for the future.
