ITALY – The Italian graphics, paperworks and publishing industry sector-wide pension fund, Fondo Pensione Byblos, is tendering three mandates for its 41 million euro fund.

The assets will be divided into three portfolios:

40% of the fund will be invested in bonds and will be handled by one manager

35% of the fund will be invested in a balanced portfolio comprising 40% equities and 60% fixed income, handled by one manager

25% of the fund will be invested in a balanced mandate comprising 64% in equities and 36% in bonds

Mandates are expected to have a three-year duration.

Application forms can be found on the website www.fondobyblos.it and entries must be returned by 26 June.

The Rome-based fund was created in 1998, and has a membership potential of 180,000. At the beginning of 2002 there were around 30,000 members. The scheme is estimated as having 41 million euros in assets by the end of 2003 and 92 million euros in assets by the end of 2006.
