Capital Alliance Partners (CAP) has been set up in London to provide real estate managers with private equity placement services to meet the increasing demand from institutional investors to invest in private equity real estate opportunities.
The new firm, has been set up by Arnaud van der Wyck, previously with UBS and most recently head of private equity placements at Shore Capital. “We aim to identify the ‘best of breed’ real estate managers by product type, geographic focus and investment strategy,” he says. Clients will be advised on the most optimal investment vehicle structure and design, so that it responds to the objectives of investors.
Advisory and placement services, which include the development of the investment manager’s investment proposition, investment vehicale structuring design and execution of the marketing strategy and overall project management, says van der Wyck.
The firm reckons that it will be able to raise capital from investors in the UK, the rest of Europe, the US and South America. CAP’s head office is in London and it has further offices in Paris and New York.
