Coninco, the Vevey based consultants and Zurich based actuary Allvisa are to tie in a new Swiss consulting actuary partnership.
Urs Barmettler, partner and chief actuary at Allvisa says that Coninco has already opened a Zurich office with around six clients for which he is responsible at present.
Allvisa, which has operated independently for 75 years since 1923 and currently has about 60 clients will now open an actuarial office in Geneva, probably. He points out that the intention is to straddle both the German and French speaking markets.
“ This is a very open agreement between the two groups that if there is any business on the investment consulting side it will be carried out by Coninco and similarly we will do all the actuarial work for the operation.
He adds that the joint venture will probably go under the name of Coninco & Allvisa, although he stresses that both groups will remain independent.
