BP’s investment arm seeks portfolio manager

UK – BP Investment Management, which manages the 21 billion-euro BP Pension Fund, is looking for a portfolio manager.

The manager has advertised a vacancy for a portfolio manager in its London office.

“Working as a member of the UK equities team and reporting to a senior portfolio manager, the person will be primarily responsible for the provision of stock selection recommendations for a number of market sectors.

In July BP said that it would be injecting around two billion dollars into its US and UK funded pension schemes.

BP has two funded pension schemes, which combined have a total deficit of around 2.2 billion dollars. The UK scheme, which is four times the size of the US scheme, comprises only around 200 million dollars of the total deficit.
