UK/SWITZERLAND – Giles Keating, co-head of Credit Suisse First Boston’s pensions advisory and structuring group, is to transfer to Credit Suisse Private Banking.

He will join the Zurich-based arm on May 10 and will be global head of research - responsible for buy-side research on all asset classes and primary research on Swiss fixed income.

A CSFB spokeswoman in London said it was “to be determined” if he would be replaced. The other co-head of the unit, Simon Ford, would remain.

"We are delighted that Credit Suisse Private Banking is gaining such an experienced and internationally respected financial specialist", said Walter Berchtold, chief executive of banking at Credit Suisse.

Keating was previously chief economist and global head of fixed income research and economics. Before than he was a research fellow at the London Business School Centre for Economic Forecasting.
