Banco Sabadell Group, Spain's sixth largest banking group, has establish-ed itself as the number one provider of defined benefit 'qualified' pension plans in Spain.
The fund manages 14% of all qualified company pension plans - an arrangement employed by a large number of multinationals - placing it at the top of manager rankings. Figures from 30 June this year, show Banco Sabadell managing assets of Ptas240bn, which combines the qualified plans and other insured arrangements.
European multi-nationals which use the bank's investment management, administration and custodial services include Beiersdorf-BDF Niv-ea, Danone Group, Elf Atochem Ag-ri, Nestlé and Staedtler.
