UK/US - Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) has hired Steven Laughton from Dresdner RCM in San Francisco as a global equity portfolio manager, in a bid to strengthen the firms global equity capabilities.
The appointment marks the second external hiring DeAM has made this year in its newly created global equity team.
Julian Pick joined the team in March and both he and Laughton report to Charles Martyn-Hemphill, who heads the team.
Laughton was a director and senior portfolio manager for global equity.
Previously, he was based in Singapore as head of equity research for Koneman Capital Management.
