Deutsche names head of European pension strategies

EUROPE – Des MacIntyre has joined Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) in London as director and head of European pension strategies.

MacIntyre, a former CFO with General Motors in the US, leaves a similar CFO role at US publishing house Asset International.

According to Maarten Nederlof, managing director and global head of pension strategies at DeAM in New York, MacIntyre’s remit will be to aid Europe’s largest financial institutions in the implementation of their pension strategies.

The appointment follows Nederlof’s own arrival at DeAM from Deutsche Bank Securities in January this year.
MacIntyre joins a team of global pension strategists focusing on topical research and problem solving for Deutsche clients, overseen by Nederlof in New York.
