UK - Former Watson Wyatt senior investment consultant Philip Robinson has joined specialist consultancy Investit in London to boost its strategic marketing and investment process practice.

He will be involved in assignments helping fund managers to reappraise their investment methods from research through to asset allocation and portfolio construction. He will also be actively involved in helping product mangers to develop new lines and in communicating these to consultants and potential clients.

“I will be looking at the market favourability environment to identify which areas are going to be of most importance to managers,” he says. He will also be involved in research projects.

“Philip brings added breadth to Investit and reinforces areas where we have acknowledged strengths,” says Richard Phillipson, Investit’s principal. “Our current consultancy assignments range from fund management process design and marketing material development, to system selections.”

In addition to the investment management practice, the firm has four other practice areas covering the front office, client facing, mathematical and operational. It also runs a recruitment consultancy Investit People, helping companies fill roles that require investment knowledge. “We do not do any head-hunting,” Phillipson points out.

The firm has been running for five years and employs around 20 people.
