EUROPE – F&C Management has named Alison McKnight as group head of new business services, a new role.

“Working closely with F&C's sales and marketing teams across Europe and all investment desks, she will take ultimate responsibility for the quality, production and delivery of RFPs,” the asset manager said.

She will be based in F&C's London office and report to Patrick Johns, joint head of institutional business. It said that before joining F&C, McKnight spent seven years in New York at the asset management division of CIBC as director of business development.

"We are delighted to welcome Alison to the team in this important new role,” said Johns. “F&C's group marketing services team already plays a key role in our RFP process and, with Alison's appointment, F&C has further strengthened the capabilities of this team."

F&C manages more than 85 billion pounds for both institutions and individuals in the UK and Europe.

Dutch financial services firm Eureko said in January that it plans to float up to 49% of F&C when the timing was right. And in February the then-PGGM chairman Dick de Beus joined F&C’s board.
