FRANCE – AXA Investment Managers France has appointed Jean Pitois of Dexia Asset Management to head up institutional business development. He will be based in Paris.

Pitois was formerly head of institutional sales for Dexia Asset Management since 1997. There he has been replaced by Franck Rousseau, who was part of the institutional sales team.

At AXA IM France, Pitois will be responsible for promoting and developing the institutional business in France. He replaces Daniel Pirrota, who has left the company.

Pitois will head up a team of eleven, and report to Nathalie Boullefort-Fulconis, who was named global head of institutional business development in January this year.

As of December 2002, AXA IM had 268 billion euros in assets under management.
