UK – Citibank Global Securities Services has appointed Alfred Frei as regional market manager for north central Europe. Frei comes to Citibank from Pictet & Cie where he was head of global custody marketing and sales in Zurich.

He will continue to be based in Zurich at Citibank and have direct responsibility for the company’s role in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

James P. Donovan, regional business executive for Europe, Japan, Middle East and Africa says Frei’s appointment reflects Citibank’s “continuing commitment to meet the challenging needs of our customers in this region”.

Citibank has $5trn in assets under custody, currently providing securities services to more than 2,500 customers.
