FRANCE – Paris based Sinopia Asset Management has launched its first alternative investment product – a long/short bond and money market hedge fund named Alternatime, aimed at institutional investors.
The Fond Commun de Placement (FCP) has the aim of maximum performance with a volatility close to that of a short to medium term bond investment in euro.
Sinopia says its strategy will be to take positions on the rise and falls of international bond markets in OECD countries, while maintaining a global interest rate neutral position.
The firm adds that investors will get a daily pricing and that the fund will effectively limit operational risks and transaction costs.
“ Alternatime constitutes an effective solution for diversification of a portfolio of bonds or equities,” says Sinopia.
