BNY Mellon - Fred Bromberg takes over as country executive for Germany and regional executive for the wider German-speaking and CEE and SEE regions. Bromberg joined from JP Morgan’s Treasury and Securities Services business in 2010 as a senior executive within BNY Mellon’s newly formed Strategic Client Group. Thomas Brand, who has served as country executive for Germany for the last 11 years, now becomes business executive for Financial Markets and Treasury Services (FM&TS) for the region.
Pioneer Investments - Oliver Bilal has been appointed as head of sales for institutional and wholesale in Germany, effective 1 April. Bilal joins from Allianz Global Investors Europe, where he was European head of institutional business development and consultant relations. Before joining Allianz, he worked as senior investment consultant at Pension Consult in the asset management business of HypoVereinsbank for five years.
Russell Investments - Gareth Parker has been appointed director of index research and design for the EMEA region, while Stephane Degroote joins as regional director of sales. The roles were created to support the expansion of Russell’s European index business following the appointment of Scott Stark as director of Russell Indexes Europe. Parker joins from Standard and Poor’s, where he was director of index research and design. Degroote joins from Correlix, where he was sales director for Europe and Asia.
European Property Federation - The EPF’s managing committee has nominated Aart Hordijk as chairman of the EPF Energy & Environment Committee. Hordijk is managing director of the Real Estate Council of the Netherlands, professor of real estate at Tilburg University and member of the EPF managing committee.
Cordea Savills - Alexandra McGhee has joined as head of fund finance for the UK, with overall responsibility for the financial control and reporting on funds administered from London, Stockholm and Luxembourg. In her new role, McGhee will report to chief financial officer Richard James. She previously worked at Protego Real Estate Investors as business development director.
Colliers International - Omar Sattar has been appointed managing director of the Czech office, effective from April 2011. Current managing director Karel Stransky is taking the newly created post of international director of CEE industrial agency.
Deutsche Postbank - Nicole Lux has left Rockspring Property Investment Managers, where she was deputy head of research, to take up the role of senior risk manager at Deutsche Postbank.
