GLOBAL - First State Investments, SWIP, F&C Investments, Sciens Capital Management
 
First State Investments - Helene Williamson has left F&C Asset Management to lead First State's newly established emerging markets debt team. For the last 15 years, Williamson served as head of emerging market debt at F&C, including five years as head of fixed income. Before then, from 1978 to 1995, she was a senior trader and held several emerging market roles - from credit restructuring to portfolio trading at Bankers Trust Company in London and New York. She starts in her new role in early September.

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) - Peter Clarke has joined SWIP's institutional sales team as institutional sales director. He will be based in London, reporting to Gordon Phillips, interim co-head of distribution and client management. He joins from Calimere Point Advisors, a placement agency where he was responsible for raising capital for themed alternative investments. Before then, he was head of UK and Ireland credit sales at Nomura International.
 
F&C Investments - Jonathan Mann, a senior fund manager who has been with the company since 2005, has been appointed as head of emerging market debt. Before joining F&C, he worked in emerging market debt fund manager roles at Standard Bank and Invesco, with nearly two decades of investment experience.

Sciens Capital Management - Sciens Fund of Funds Management Holdings, part of the Sciens Capital Management Group, has appointed two senior members to its London-based team. Stavros Siokos, formerly of Citigroup and Piraeus Group, has joined as president, while Michael Hart joins from bfinance as senior marketing director. In his new role, Siokos will be responsible for the general management of the fund of funds and the managed account platform businesses based in London, Guernsey and Zurich.
