Allenbridge Investment Solutions – Tim Gascoigne has been appointed head of alternatives. He joins from HSBC's alternative investment group, where he served as global head of portfolio management. At HSBC, he was responsible for managing the bank's flagship fund of funds and the institutional and private client discretionary mandates.
Sacker & Partners – The UK pensions law firm has promoted Joanna Smith to the position of associate. Smith joined Sackers from Hogan Lovells in 2011 and has experience of advising employer and trustee clients on corporate transactions, managing employer debts, scheme reorganisations and benefit design changes.
JLT Employee Benefits – Patrick Gale has been appointed an independent non-executive director and chairman of JLT's audit committee. Gale has served in senior roles for Misys, HBOS, Aegon and Just Retirement. He was previously chief executive at Sesame and, more recently, executive chairman at Positive Solutions and Origin.
SEI – The company has strengthened its UK asset management distribution team with the appointments of Kevin Bull as strategic alliance development director and Simon Pinner as sales director. Bull joins from Hearthstone Investments, where he was a residential property fund manager, while Pinner joins from SWIP, where he was head of sales support.
