GLOBAL – Thomas Miller Investment, BlackRock
Thomas Miller Investment – Paul Trickett has been appointed as a non-executive director to develop the asset manager's growth strategy. He is currently director of Aberforth Smaller Companies investment trust and holds the role of trustee chairman for the Zurich Financial Services UK Pension Scheme and the Legal & General WorkSave master trust. His previous roles include EMEA head of global portfolio solutions at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, EMEA head of investment practice at Towers Watson and chief executive at the British Coal Pension Scheme.
BlackRock – Marc van Heel has been appointed country manager and head of iShares for Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. He will oversee BlackRock's retail and institutional businesses in the region and be responsible for sales and distribution for the exchange-traded funds business. He succeeds Leen Meijaard, who took the role of head of iShares sales for the EMEA. Van Heel joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was head of Benelux distribution.
