Delta Lloyd GroupJean Frijns has been appointed chairman of the supervisory board of insurer Delta Lloyd Group as of 1 January 2014. Frijns is to succeed René Kottmann, who is to leave the supervisory board after 17 years. Frijns is also chairman at Netspar, the research network for pensions, ageing and retirement. Previously, he has been CIO at the €292bn civil service scheme ABP.

Ernst & Young (EY) – Sheila Nicoll, former director of conduct policy at the UK Financial Services Authority, has been appointed as a senior adviser. Prior to joining the FSA, she was deputy chief executive of the Investment Management Association. She was also a board member of the European Funds and Asset Management Association and acted as chair of its Regulatory Policy Committee.

Affiliated Managers GroupJenny Segal has been appointed head of European distribution. She will lead AMG’s European institutional distribution team. She will join in November from Neuberger Berman, where she is managing director and head of institutional for Europe. She was also previously head of the institutional and hedge fund business at Old Mutual Asset Managers, and before then held senior sales positions at Alliance Bernstein and Baring Asset Management.  

Aviva InvestorsKatrin Boström has been appointed managing director and head of the Nordic region. She joins from Axa Investment Managers, where she was head of Nordic sales. Before then, she was head of sales and business development at Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Stockholm.

State Street Global MarketsSteve Webster has been appointed head of business development and relationship management for the portfolio solutions business for the EMEA region. He joins from Credit Suisse Securities, where he was head of transition management for the EMEA.

Tikehau Group – The private debt specialist has made two hires – Cécile Mayer-Levi in Paris and Patrick Marshall in London. Mayer-Levi joins from Axa Private Equity, where she launched and developed the company’s private debt activity. Marshall joins from WCAS Fraser Sullivan Investment Management, where he was a partner.

Bouwinvest – The €5.6bn property investor Bouwinvest has doubled the two-strong acquisition team of its Business Unit Netherlands, appointing Mireille Hermsen and Remco Winia to achieve its €500m acquisition target in the Netherlands. They are to focus on hotels and domestic rental property respectively. Hermsen and Winia were already employed by Bouwinvest, as senior asset manager and development manager, respectively.

KCMRobert-Jan Tel has been appointed as co-director – together with acting director Remco Rothkrantz – of the non-listed real estate team of Kempen Capital Management as of 16 September. During the past four years, Tel has been employed by the €15bn Dutch pension fund of electronics giant Philips, where he set up a €600m non-listed property portfolio. Before then, he was head of real estate at TKP Investments.

Premier – The pensions, benefits and actuarial firm has announced changes to its senior team. Jay Solanki has been promoted to head of consulting services, while John Reeve’s responsibilities will expand. In addition to maintaining his senior consultancy role, Reeve will lead Premier’s activity in the charity and not-for-profit sector.
