FRANCE – The Fonds de Réserve pour les Retraites, the French Pensions Reserve Fund, is to hold a meeting for asset managers later this month about its private equity RFP.

The FRR intends to launch a European request for proposal for the award of private equity fund-of-funds management mandates as part of the implementation of its first programme in this asset class.

The purpose of the RFP is to select, through a tender offer process, investment managers duly authorised to manage third-party capital and specialised in the selection of private equity funds and the management of portfolios of such funds.

The portfolios that FRR aims to construct will be broadly diversified in terms of investment strategies and geographic coverage, but with a dominant European component in this first programme.

The fund will hold an informational meeting in Paris on December 15 at 4.30pm French time). “Open to all asset investment managers interested in making a bid, this meeting will be devoted to a presentation of the FRR’s aims as well as the procedures for submission,” the FRR said.

For logistical reasons, only two representatives of each asset management firm may attend the meeting. Please sign up online at communication@fondsdereserve.fr by December 13, 2005, and please give the names of the company, the individuals who will attend the meeting and their contact details. Information on the meeting place will be given at registration.
