FRANCE - Nada Villermain-Lécolier, head of responsible investment at the French Fond de Réserve des Retraites (FRR), is to leave the fund on 14 October after eight years to join the public financing institution Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC).

Villermain-Lécolier, who started at the FRR in 2003 when the fund was launched, previously worked for the CDC for 13 years, first as an economist in 1990 and then as a fund manager.

At the CDC, she will be part of a newly created unit in charge of managing and monitoring part of a €35bn investment programme launched by the French government last year.

The programme, called 'Investments for the future', brings together industry, universities, the government and the private sector and aims to invest in new and renewable technologies that will enhance France's competitive position, creating new jobs.

Villermain-Lécolier will be in charge of the programme's economic development activities within the new CDC structure, reporting to Catherine Mayenobe - former secretary general of the French court of accounts - who will head the team.

At the FRR, Villermain-Lécolier initially managed the requests of proposals launched by the fund when she joined in 2003, before being named head of responsible investment.
