GERMANY - Andreas Fink, spokesman for the German investment industry BVI, has died at the age of 47.

In a statement, the BVI said Fink had died suddenly last Saturday - he is survived by a wife and three daughters.

"For them and for us all, his death is an inconceivable loss," the BVI said.

Fink, who headed the media and communication department at the association, had been with the BVI for more than a decade.

The association praised the role he played in helping to develop the German investment fund industry, as well as shape its perception.

The BVI said: "His straightforwardness, humanity and sense of responsibility made him a role model for employees."
