UK- Steve Barker has left his job as head of investment consulting at Gissings after just a year to take up the same role at SBJ Consultants in London. Barker, who has a background in investment consulting and fixed income management, will report to the chairman Peter Gray.

Says Gray: “the appointment is very much driven by the Myners report, to ensure that we are able to assist our clients to meet the codes of practice.”

At Gissings Barker concentrated on fixed income investment, liability matching and manager performance analysis. Barker takes over the role from Paul Duffy who is head of the Bristol office. Duffy remains with SBJ and will concentrate on a wider variety of consulting issues.

Barker’s position at Gissings is being filled by director of investment consulting Brendan Reville who joined the company last year from Aon consulting.
