IRELAND – Jim McLoughlin, secretary to the trustees of the Guinness Ireland group pension scheme, has retired.

Diageo Ireland, part of the group that produces the Guinness and Bailey’s drinks brands, has named Conor Gouldson as its new company secretary and head of its 1.6 billion-euro pension fund. McLoughlin retired a few weeks ago.

Diageo named Michael Glasgow to replace Steve Mingle as director of pensions in 2003.

Diageo said last week that it would stop brewing Guinness at the Park Royal brewery in west London – resulting in around 90 job losses.
