UK – Higham Black Mountain is expanding its pension administration and consultancy services with the addition of Paul Jayson.

Jayson joins Higham Black Mountain as a senior actuary and will be responsible for growing the business. He joins from consulting actuaries Nigel Sloam & Co. where he was a partner for eight years. He specialises in actuarial consultancy and strategic investment advice for trustees of both defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes. He also previously worked at William M Mercer and Liberty Life Assurance.

Higham Black Mountain is a new joint venture between Higham Group and Black Mountain. Higham Group provides specialist outsourcing services to the life and pensions industries, and Black Mountain Group is a global human resources outsourcer with particular focus on pensions, benefits and remunerations.

Having worked on several projects together, certain synergies in the actuarial services area were noted, and the joint venture between the two groups was formed, explained a spokesman for Higham Black Mountain.

Jayson will work on building the new venture and growing the client list.
