GLOBAL – HSBC Asset Management has named a former Citigroup and Credit Suisse Asset Management executive, Gregg Diliberto, as its new global head of fixed income.
“Gregg will be responsible for the management of fixed income teams comprising 70 investment professionals around the world managing around 100 billion dollars,” the firm said in a statement.
He will be based in New York and report to chief investment officer Chris Cheetham.
HSBC said he was most recently head of fixed income for Citigroup Global Investments. He was head of core fixed income at Credit Suisse Asset Management from 1990 to 2002, it added.
“We are delighted to have been able to appoint an investment professional with Gregg’s talent and considerable experience to the key role of global head of fixed income,” Cheetham said.
“I am confident that Gregg will help us to build on the strong foundations we already have in place to create a leading position for HSBC Asset Management in fixed income management.”
