UK – Insight Investment has been appointed to run a 30 million pound (44.5 million euro) bond mandate for the Church of England pension fund.
The mandate is to be run against a UK index linked gilt benchmark, with the ability to invest in overseas and corporate bonds.
Robin Clutterham, chief financial officer at the Church of England pensions board, said: “Insight have an impressive track record in managing this type of mandate. They have also demonstrated an understanding of the Board’s requirements on ethical considerations and a commitment to client service.”
Latest figures show Insight Investment Management has 68 billion pounds in assets under management. 59% of Insight’s assets are invested in fixed income securities. As of January 31 this year, Insight Investment officially completed its acquisition of the institutional, retail and offshore business of Rothschild Asset Management.
