UK – Invesco has hired the head of Deutsche Asset Management’s defined contributions sales and a European principal from Mercer Human Resource Consulting as it seeks to gain market share.

Invesco, which manages 7.4 billion euros in European pension fund assets, said in a statement that it has hired Helen Archer as business development manager. She was previously head of DC sales at Deutsche Asset Management.

It has also hired Nick Codd as a client manager. He was formerly senior consultant and European principal at Mercer’s human resource consulting arm.

And Jacqueline Brown was named marketing services manager. She was previously at Threadneedle Asset Management, where she gained expertise in DC member communication via the Internet, Invesco says.

“Their experience will be invaluable in helping the team to build on the increased volumes of business won over the last two years, and we are sure hey will be instrumental in Invesco gaining further pensions market share,” said Invesco Pensions’ chief executive David Butcher.
