UK - Investec Asset Management has named Marketta Sellers as head of pension fund client service.

“She will be responsible for Investec's relationship with existing and prospective institutional clients, specifically pension funds and multi-managers,” Investec said. She will report to Mark Samuelson, Investec’s head of UK institutional.

It said the hire was “part of a move to build up the client servicing team as a result of new business success”.

She was formerly at AXA Rosenberg Investment Management, where she was an equity portfolio manager and managed institutional client relationships in Europe and the Middle East. She left there in 2003.

"Marketta's appointment clearly demonstrates our commitment to the growth of our institutional business in the UK,” Samuelson said.

Investec has more than 20 billion pounds (29.7 billion euros) under management and around 1,000 institutional clients.
