DENMARK – A Danish pension fund has tendered up to $100m (euro) in Japanese all-cap equities via IPE-Quest.
The search (QN592) says Japan must be a focus area of the asset management company. The client would prefer a lead manager managing the portfolio backed up by a team of analysts dedicated to the asset class. The present lead manager must have a long and strong track record investing in Japanese equities (not necessarily generated at the present work place).
It requires an active approach and relatively few stocks in the portfolio. Topix and MSCI Japan are the suggested benchmarks.
This client needs a segregated account. The mandate may be split between two managers. The investor requests performance data to the end of January 2006.
The closing date is March 15.
