**Crowther leaves Irish pensions association**
IRELAND – Des Crowther, director of the Irish Association of Pension Funds (IAPF), has left the association to become chief executive of the Dublin-based Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management.
The IAPF says it has yet to find a replacement for Crowther but that it expects to make an appointment in the New Year.
The move was said to be for personal career reasons.

**Henderson appoints senior fund manager for SRI funds**
UK - Henderson Global Investors has appointed George Latham as senior fund manager, Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) with effect from December 10.
Latham will manage the pan-European equities of the SRI funds, which include the NPI Global Care product range.
Based in London, he will report to Kirsteen Morrison, the head of SRI fund management.
He joins from Threadneedle, where he headed up the team responsible for integrating SRI issues into mainstream investment.

**Banc of America emerges with Corsetti**
UK/ITALY – Banc of America Securities has announced the appointment of Guido Corsetti as head of Emerging Markets sales into Italy.
Corsetti will have additional responsibility on the regional dealer desk for southern Europe and will report to Donald Amstad, managing director of Emerging Markets Sales and the Regional Dealer Desk.
Corsetti joins from E*TRADE Institutional Securities where he had been institutional sales director for Southern Europe since 1999.

**McQuade and William to Dunnett Shaw & Partners**
UK - Dunnett Shaw & Partners, the pensions and IT consultancy firm, has appointed Ian McQuade as a senior consultant. He joins DSP after three years at Capita Hartshead, the pensions administration firm, where he was operations director.
The firm has also brought on board Morag Williams as a senior consultant. William started her career with Prudential before joining Dalgety in 1990.

**Hedge Fund Association selects new board of directors**
US- The Hedge Fund Association, an international not-for-profit association of hedge fund managers, service providers, and investors, has announced its new board of directors.
Representing hedge fund managers on the board are Peter Kash of Paramount Capital, Mayra Woo of Forstmann-Leff, Gary Parsons of Dingo Capital, Ron Bauer of The Bauer Partnership and Howard Schachter of Schachter Capital Management. Representing hedge fund investors on the board are Kevin Ferro of Commerzbank Securities, Dion Friedland of Magnum Global Investments, Steven Lonsdorf of Van Hedge Fund Advisors, Sergio Simone of RJS Private Wealth Management, and Andrew T. Malloy.
