GLOBAL - Janus Capital Group has named Brad Gillman as director of consultant relations at Janus Institutional Asset Management.

The Denver-based firm said Gillman would be based in San Francisco and report to consultant relations’ global director Carolyn Patton.

"We're very pleased that Brad is joining our team," said Patton. "With his broad experience in consultant relations and institutional sales, we feel he will play a key role in our continuing efforts to enhance our relationships with the consultant community."

In his new role, Gillman will provide manager researchers and consultants with guidance on the Janus Institutional products. He will also serve as an internal resource for institutional sales, portfolio management and client service professionals, facilitating the interactions with consulting firms.

"It's an exciting time at Janus Institutional Asset Management," Gillman said.

"I'm looking forward to building on a strong franchise and helping grow the Janus Institutional business through the Janus, INTECH and Perkins Wolf and McDonnell products with the leading and most sophisticated investment consultants in the industry."

Gillman was previously director of institutional client services at Artisan Partners in San Francisco. He’s also worked at AllianceBernstein.
