UK - Kevin Carter, who heads the JP Morgan's pension advisory group for Europe, has announced his imminent retirement.

A spokeswoman told IPE Carter will be replaced by Guy Coughlan at the end of this quarter.

Coughlan's current title is managing director and global head of pension asset liability management for JP Morgan.

JP Morgan poached Carter from Watson Wyatt in November 2006, where he served as European consulting head.

He had joined Watson Wyatt in 2002 when he stepped down from his position as chief executive of Old Mutual Asset Managers and after 16 years with the firm.

Carter was also recently elected onto the Investment Council of the UK's National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF).
