Julius Baer appoints new CIO

SWITZERLAND – Bank Julius Baer & Co has appointed Gérard Plasko as chief investment officer of private banking in its Zurich office.

Plasko, who takes up the position in December, will be responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies for private clients managed from Zurich.

He joins from Crédit Suisse where he was chief global strategist for private banking.
