UK - King & Shaxson Asset Management says it has hired Andrew Wilson from the Pilkington pension scheme.

“Andrew Wilson joins KSAM from the Pilkington Pension Fund where he was senior investment manager,” the firm said. “At Pilkington he managed 40% of the entire plan, in government and non-government bonds and index-linked.” He would work alongside Madeleine Barker.

The firm also hired Alan Brunsden for its UK equity team from BFS Investments where was chief investment officer.

The company said the hires were the first new appointments since the acquisition of Swiss Life Asset Management. “The appointments further strengthen the asset management team and allow KSAM to offer its clients creative solutions to the management of their assets.”

“These appointments are very positive for KSAM and our clients,” said KSAM chief executive Tom McIntosh. “We have successfully consolidated the business following the acquisition of Swiss Life Asset Management last year and with an enhanced and experienced team KSAM is well placed to provide our clients with the solutions they need to make their investments perform.”
